Alex Costa is one of the earliest creators in the men's lifestyle and fashion space on YouTube. His channel covers grooming, fashion, hair, travel, and overall lifestyle, and has grown to over 4.14 million subscribers with more than 730 million total views. He also runs Forte Series, his own brand of hair care and wellness products. Alex has been creating content since 2011, making him one of the longest standing voices in this category.


The Problem

Alex Costa's previous agency was not delivering videos on time, was inconsistent with quality, and was not meeting the client's expectations for the style of editing he wanted.

Alex wanted a cleaner look with text animations and a polished visual feel, and the previous team could not match that.

On top of this, Alex's team had multiple members involved in the content process, which meant the editing team had to communicate with and take direction from more than one person while still keeping the output consistent.

What We Did

We started by working directly with Alex's manager to understand exactly what the client wanted, down to the smallest detail. We broke the style down into its individual parts, catalogued every asset, animation, and visual preference, and built a repository that the team could reference for every single video. This meant that no matter who was editing, the output looked and felt the same.

We also set up Frame.io as the central hub for revisions and comments. This gave the client's team a clear, organised way to leave feedback directly on the timeline, which made the revision process faster, more precise, and far less chaotic than going back and forth over messages. Every note was time stamped, every round of revisions was tracked, and nothing got lost.

Over time, we did not just maintain the style. We improved it. Through weekly calls with the client's team, we took feedback, introduced new ideas, tested different visual approaches, and kept the editing evolving while staying true to what made Alex's content feel like his own.

Each video had a five day turnaround window with multiple rounds of revisions, and we made sure every deadline was met without compromising on the quality the client expected.
